Wer braucht schon einen Trick-Stick bei einem Fußball-Game, wenn er Sensible World of Soccer haben kann?
Nachdem mich FIFA 12 heute unfassbar genervt hat, begab ich mich auf die Suche nach guten alten 2D-Fußballspielen und wurde in meinem Gedächtnis fündig: Sensible World of Soccer. Das Spiel ist bereits Abandonware und es hat sich über Jahre hinweg eine treue Community gebildet, die etwa mit Kader-Updates oder mehreren Ligabetrieben bis hin zur jährlich stattfindenden Weltmeisterschaft das Spiel am Leben hält. Das größte Portal über SWOS kommt aus Deutschland und heißt SensibleSoccer.de. Dort werden fast alle wichtigen internationale und nationale Turniere präsentiert, Downloads zusammengefasst und der Einstieg in den Multiplayer vereinfacht. Ein sehr aktives Forum ergänzt die Plattform.
Ja, das Spiel könnt ihr mithilfe des Amiga-Emulators WinUAE inzwischen online gegeneinander auf dem PC spielen. Grafik-Packs passen das Spiel den aktuellen Turnieren an, die Werbebanden von 1996 gehören damit der Vergangenheit an. Stattdessen funkeln Coke Zero und “Against Racism”-Kampagnen auf den Banden. Was mich am meisten an dem Spiel fasziniert, ist die 1-Button-Steuerung. Egal ob Pass, Flanke, Schuss, Tackling, Grätsche – alles findet mit einem Knopfdruck statt. Und trotzdem ist es sauschwer zu meistern. Sowohl gegen den Computer als auch in einem Freundschaftsspiel hatte ich keine Chance und ging mit 0:5 und 0:3 unter. Aber ich erfreute mich trotzdem des aktuellen Kaders des 1. FC Nürnberg.
Ich werde aber üben, mich verbessern und schon bald ein kurzes Let’s Play aufnehmen. Und solange kann ich allen Fußballfans, die den Charme eines grandiosen Spiels aus den 90ern erkennen, SensibleSoccer.de empfehlen. Alles, was ihr zum Spielen braucht, findet ihr nebst Anleitung hier.
