IControlPad2 – Crowdfunding läuft
Das IControlPad soll jetzt einen per Kickstarter finanzierten Nachfolger bekommen. Funktionsfähige Prototypen des Open-Source-Controllers existieren bereits – die Massenproduktion soll per Crowdfunding gestemmt werden. Gegenüber dem IControlPad
verfügt das IControlpad2 über wesentlich mehr Tasten (55 um genau zu sein, inklusive QWERTZ-Tastatur) und es ist vollkommen frei programmierbar. Über USB und Bluetooth ist es in der Lage mit allen erdenklichen, computerähnlichen Geräten zu kommunizieren. Die Macher erhoffen sich davon auch mögliche Einsätze im industriellen Bereich, beispielsweise bei der Steuerung von Robotern.
Für den Gaming-Bereich bietet das IControlPad2 nahezu grenzenlose Möglichkeiten beim Einsatz von Emulatoren aus Smartphones, Tablets und ähnlichem. Die Crowdfunding-Phase läuft zu diesem Zeitpunkt (20.09.2012) noch 22 Tage und in fümf Tagen konnten bereits über 50.000 Dollar gesammelt werden. Das Ziel liegt bei 150.000 Dollar und ist damit absolut erreichbar. Ich drücke auf jeden Fall die Daumen für dieses sehr coole Indie-Projekt!
